Siren of the night

the painting is inspired by rushing waters and their correlation to sirens, and mythology throughout different cultures. Sirens have always been theorized to appear at night when the waves of the ocean are heavy. Alluring their victims with the sound of their voice, and in some cultures, mistaking them for a beautiful woman calling from the sea. The green hue of the skin in this piece stands out on purpose, giving my own personal visual to what I imagine one to look like.
